Jumping ahead to near the end of the next segment and I'll figure a way back from here. Getting quite a bit more powerful and cunning. Too soon? well, we can always provide setbacks etc.
On the other hand,I really need to clean up what I've already got. Just means more time in front of a computer as opposed to in my sketchbook, which is hard to set my mind to.
I had to stop and re-draw the middle section of this a few times before I got it decent enough to pass. Fairly satisfied with some bits of it, but I'm unsure about the axis switch between some of the panels.

Getting that rock on his hand really had me stuck for a bit there, so I had to split it up some. The flow on this one is a bit of a stretch and will need some work in post, but this helped me realize that coming up with a couple key poses randomly on the page can help me get to where I want the page to go.

I'm relatively happy with this one despite a rough start. I think this one would stay monochrome with maybe minimal accents of colour.
#07 is giving me some difficulties now. I'm not sure where this s going or coming from, so I might have to go into negative #'s or just re-number later... from 10 was a good goal to give though.
I liked this one until I finished #08, and now it looks sparse. Some cute little characters which were fun as one shot throw aways, and I think the winding is easy to follow. I really like how the bear turned out, but couldn't match it exactly again on #8.

Did a first try for colouring. Took a couple hours to figure out, but the last steps went really quickly.
I have all the characters on seperate Layers from the Background. Doing Fills in Illust Studio is super easy and well done.
Took me a couple minutes to figure out the Clipping setting for the Character Layer, but after that I only spent a few minutes on that. Quite a bit of time figuring out what to do about the backgroung colours, and keeping the swervey flow of the ordering legible. I don't know if the action/layout of this one work as well for that Schtich, but at least the methodology is getting better.

Maybe 'inked' properly. We will see. I'm on day 2 of working out process.
I tried straight out painting over the pencil, but that got messy, laborious and I didn't like the results in the time I had. This one needed some fixed anyways, so was good to re-draw in vector (Illust Studio!!!)
Hopefully I can keep it up.
Trying to focus more on Value. Had a cool lecture by Dominic Demingo (spelling?)
Still a bit overly complicated as I discovered when I tried to colour it, but generally ok with the depth separation etc.
This was my 'Winter Card' this year. Got it out late to most people. Printed by getting it done at London Drugs as a regular photo. Lost a bunch of the line and the red got washed out oddly. I guess I need to practice colours for printing....
